Marshall built only 40 of these amps. 10 was to be auctioned for charity and the other 30 was purchased by contest winners whome won a chance to buy won. I have number 3. There is only 40 of them in the world.

It sounds like a brand new 1962 Blues Breaker Jag. Actually we plugged into it once and its very loud for its size, extremely clean and crisp. Its a perfect Blues Amp. This is not an amp you would take out to a club and expose it to any elements. Its in perfect condition and its No. 3 of 40 built in the world.

Any amp I buy, I use. Why deprive the world of great tone, by keeping a great amp under lock and key.

To be honest with you, I would much rather have an original Marshall Model 1962 or a Blockhead clone, rather than a tarted up, limited edition model that I wouldn't baby anyway.

If I can't use it in a club, then I can't use it.

Just my opinion,

Grendel

I had two of these amps recently and I also had an original 1962 when I was a kid. I love these amps... the confusion is that it's not really a Bluesbreaker which was a JTM45 2 x 12 combo. This is a 50 watt tremolo and Marshall combined some of the best features from the 45 and the Tremolo and reissued it thus.
This is a fantastic sounding amp... I had some problems with the output transformer in one of mine - they leave out two retaining bolts which causes the leaves to vibrate and generate a tone... I found it after a week or two with a stethoscope and fixed it with a zip tie.
These amps break up real nice and with humbuckers get that famed "woman tone" This is one Marshall that actually sounds like a Marshall... all the new ones sound just like a good tube amp... these reissues wreak of history.

I agree with grendel4guitars I would use this amp... I don't see the point in owning it otherwise. And what's more, this amp, with all it's gold leaf and fancy leather will look better and feel like more of a friend when it's been around the block a few times and got some dings. That's real life... hey when you're dead what will your headstone say? "Here lies 'Privateye', he had a cool amp which never saw the light of day, but take our word for it... it would have sounded great" he he he!
