Hello,
i've just had a 1974 Vox AC30 T/B fixed up by a local amp fixer.
It was a bit of a rescue job & he's worked wonders getting it back up & running.
Problem is, the amp has quite a bit of hum ... is this common with amps of this age?
Any help, greatly appreciated.
Cheers |

| Hey congrats on getting the amp up and running again. Two of my guesses on the humming is perhaps a tube problem (even if they are new tubes, one can still be faulty). My second guess is possibly a grounding issue inside the amp, maybe the tech forgot a ground wire or something similar. Anyways those are my two ideas. I hope it is something smal and you get it worked out. Enjoy your amp! |
