Hello,
i've just had a 1974 Vox AC30 T/B fixed up by a local amp fixer.
It was a bit of a rescue job & he's worked wonders getting it back up & running.
Problem is, the amp has quite a bit of hum ... is this common with amps of this age?

Any help, greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Hey congrats on getting the amp up and running again. Two of my guesses on the humming is perhaps a tube problem (even if they are new tubes, one can still be faulty). My second guess is possibly a grounding issue inside the amp, maybe the tech forgot a ground wire or something similar. Anyways those are my two ideas. I hope it is something smal and you get it worked out. Enjoy your amp!
