Hi,
I was wondering how the Orange AD30HTC Head performed for live shows. My current setup consists of the Marshall TSL 100 and it has more than enough power for the job. I have always loved the sound of Orange, but wondered if the 30watt would be loud enough and how it sounded compared with other Orange models. I am thinking about selling my Marshall TSL 100 for the Orange AD30HTC Head, so I would like to hear some feedback about it. Take care! |

| 30 watts tube will be more than enough for a lot of gigs. Take note that in most cases, even 50 watts can be too much. Tubes sound best when pushed hard, and 30 watts will be plenty. Even so, think about this for awhile, the TSL100 is a versatile powerful amp with tone that kills, so be if your going to get rid of it for the orange, be absolutely sure that you love the tone. Ask the dealer if you can try the orange fully pushed to hear what the sound is like with the tubes pushed. from personal experience, the AD30 is a pretty sweet amp with a simple layout. |

| I agree with the reply above about first trying out the Orange amp n person to be sure you love it. I also second the tip on 30 watts of tube amp being plenty powerful and loud for most any gig. If for whatever reason you re playing a stadium or some huge outdoor show, they can always mic it. One of my amps is the Fender Blues Jr. and it is only 15 watts tube. It is plenty loud for jamming with drummer and playing a smaller show. Best of luck, enjoy. |
