I know your post is a month old and you probably went out and purchased an amp already but I decided to reply anyway in case that did not occur yet.
I personally have a Marshall AVT50 and I enjoy it. In my opinion it has a good sound is rightfully priced. I have never experienced humming issue at all.
One word of advice is, The AVT amps have one tube used in the preamp and over y ears or if you just play a whole lot, your amp might not sund ans nice anymore and your distortion will weaken. Dont think your amp is broken, just put a new preamp tube in and your AVT amp will come back to life. I have personally experienced this. Once I changed the tube, all the tone and good distorted sounds were back. |
