Hello
I have a hughes & kettner amp. A zenamp combo to be exact.
I have a problem with it. Every time I switch the amp on, I have an anoying hum noice coming out. Nothing is plugged in (no guitar, no pedals, ...). I just connect it to the power, switch it on and voila the noice is there. No matter if I change the volume, changer the master settings. The noice always stays at the same volume. Also when I played it for an hour or so, you smell a burning smell. You know like something that get's to hot. I hope somebody can tell me what this might be

It sounds like you have a failing transformer, I get this from the "burning" smell part of your description. Take it to a qualified tech immediately without using it any further.
